YOU ARE THE SUM OF YOUR THOUGHTS!

Consciousness refers to your individual awareness of your unique thoughts, memories, feelings, sensations and environment. Your conscious experiences are constantly shifting and changing. For example, now you are hopefully focused on what you are reading. Your consciousness may then shift to the memory of a conversation you had earlier with a friend. Next, you might notice how uncomfortable your chair is or maybe you are mentally planning that long awaited vacation. These ever-shifting streams of thoughts can change dramatically from one moment to the next, but your experience of them seems smooth and effortless. To awaken is to be aware of all aspects of your life. What are you creating in this moment? Your Consciousness is your ability or your amount of awareness of both self and others. This awareness can range from zero (as in deep, dreamless sleep), to Cosmic Consciousness, which is total awareness of all that exists in all universes (the state of Consciousness of the SUPREME BEING).

The goal is that you begin to detach from the outcome and be more of an observer, for that is part of the personality of your soul to observe, encourage and be in gratitude. Of course you have to first understand how your subconscious mind or the memory banks of your mind work, if you are to make any lasting changes. The relationship between the conscious mind and subconscious mind is like an onion. The conscious is signified by the outer skin that is easily viewed, while the subconscious is signified by the soft fleshy interior and hidden. The subconscious mind works according to the law of belief, which states; you can have anything that you want if you can give up the belief that you can’t have it.  Mark 11:23 say’s it this way; “whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

The subconscious is the largest part of the mind; it holds all of the messages we’ve received throughout our existence, and learned through repetition, then it groups them into beliefs, habits, mindsets, and character traits. Those then determine how you feel, whether or not you have a positive attitude, or a negative one, as well as your level of success in life. From this point the subconscious is now in control of your footsteps, and how new experiences will be perceived.

To experience real change you must become a guardian of everything entering into your mind, because everything that you see, hear and feel goes directly into your subconscious mind. For me, that means managing the information I allow in, and eliminating as much negative information like the news and violent movies as possible. I also make a daily practice of using positive words to reinforce the attributes I desire.

There is a world inside of you, namely your thoughts, feeling, and imagery that create your world in the physical reality. It is, therefore, the only creative power, and everything that you find in your physical world, has first been created by you in the inner world of your mind, consciously or unconsciously. Knowledge of the interaction of your conscious and subconscious minds will enable you to transform your whole life. In order to change external conditions, you must change the cause, which is internal. Most people try to change conditions and circumstances by working within the frame work of those conditions and circumstances. However, to remove discord, confusion, lack, and limitation, you must remove the cause, and the cause is the way you are using your conscious mind; in other words, the way you are thinking.
